Bamber Bridge Football Club
Bamber Bridge Football Club are a football team based at QED Stadium in Bamber Bridge, near Preston, Lancashire.
The current club was formed in 1974 after the amalgamation with neighbouring club, Walton-le-Dale to form the present Bamber Bridge Football Club as we know it today.
The club joined the North West Counties League in 1990, and won successive promotions in 1992 and 1993 to enter the Unibond Northern Premier League.
We gained promotion to the Premier Division in 1995 and won the league championship at the first attempt, although they were ineligible for promotion to the Conference.
Bamber Bridge were unable to repeat that success, and slipped back down to the First Division, although they have been promoted back to the Premier following the 2004 Conference expansion. Their stay though was short-lived and they were relegated back to the First Division for 2005/06.
In 2007, it was announced that Bamber Bridge would play in the inaugural season of the Northern Premier League Division One North.
Bamber Bridge FC wishes to thank main club sponsors Highbrook Associates IFA, Sheet Piling UK Ltd and TravelWise, brewery sponsors Thwaites Brewery and associate sponsors Amity UK. more
