NEWSSkelmersdale United 3 Bamber Bridge 2Date Posted : 26th August 2008
Brig cast aside the horrors of the weekend defeat by Newcastle Blue Star with a spirited performance, and were unlucky to come away from the newly re-named Stormy Corner empty handed. A mad five minutes where Brig conceded three goals cost them the game.
Skem proudly sat on top of the table after winning two and drawing the other game of their three. Brig were down in tenth place.
Brig boss Phil Entwistle made one enforced change from the weekend. Injured skipper Glenn Steel sat this game out with a foot injury. Dave McCann deputised in central defence. Neil Spencer took over the captaincy.
